1962 - 23 window splitscreen Samba - Sale pending
This project took two years to complete. Attention to detail was the main priority and as it's such a rare vehicle this is reflected in the price. The premise was to make it as standard as possible which was difficult due to the rarity of the parts. It's finished in the standard colours of sealing wax red and beige grey and the interior is a copy of an early devon conversion using reclaimed oak and oak faced plywood (there was never an option for one of these interiors made for left-hand-drive vehicles, so this one is unique!) It's been built using many new and nos parts wherever possible. As it's standard, it will be possible for the new owner to change or upgrade to their own specifications which could include lowering, IRS conversion, disc brakes, wheels, engine, extra popout windows, safari windows etc. It will come with a full MOT and UK registered paperwork. This is a very reluctant sale. Viewing can be arranged either at one of the major VW events or call us and a meeting can be arranged if you have to travel long distance. This is a European model, not a USA import.
